Yamaha XT description

This motorcycle just came out of the garage after sitting since 2008 it has dents dings and wear all over. The engine has compression ,I haven't checked for spark or added any fuel, it is still as it was put away in 2008.I have pressure washed it. The prior owner said he was sent to Afghanistan in 2009 and didn't come back for four yrs. before he left he had just installed a new rear tire and dumped fuel stabilizer in the tank but didn't do anything else.He stated that the bike ran when parked and to get it to run now would most likely take fuel system cleaning, He also had a battery for the bike which he kept in the basement of his house.I didn't take the battery just because of its age. He stated that it didn't need the battery to run it only needed it for the lights. I believe him because i have known him for about 7-8 months now and have never seen any reason not to.I bought the bike from him during a card game and no i didn't win it. As for the condition it is a dirt bike that has been used on the dirt,I doubt it saw much street time even though it was licensed. Besides the maintenance it will take to get it running it will need a chain and sprocket because the wear is obvious. i have a clear title and i am a licensed dealer. The title will have to be transferred into the purchasers name and all appropriate fees paid.
I am not warranting anything on this motorcycle.

Our Magnificent seven

Wed, 16 Feb 2011

Remember to dust your Union Jacks down if you happen to be visiting any Grand Prix this year as we have no less than seven youngsters to cheer on in the junior Moto GP classes. I don’t think we’ve ever had this many ‘yoofs’ in the GP paddock so let’s hope they can do the business and bring an end to our long drought of Grand Prix titles. And that could be soon as Scott Redding is already a hot favourite for the 2011 Moto 2 championship on his Marc VDS Suter machine.

Yamaha Teases New Supersport Reveal for Nov. 3 + Video

Wed, 01 Oct 2014

Yamaha fans expecting to hear big news from the Tuning Fork brand at Intermot may be a bit disappointed the Cologne show only brought us a refreshed XJR1300, the MT-07 Moto Cage stunt variant and a futuristic three-wheeled concept model. The first two aren’t likely to come to North America and the third might never see production. But fear not, as while most of the motorcycle world was focused on Intermot, Yamaha released a video teasing a “new era” supersport announcement for Nov.

Stoner explains the tank slapper

Mon, 03 Oct 2011

Casey Stoner looked all set to win at Motegi, after translating his pole position into an early race-lead. But coming over the crest on the back straight his bike momentarily lost control in a tank slapper. Regaining composure the championship leader was forced to pump his brakes to get the pads back in place, with the rear-wheel bouncing in the air he ran out of time and space to make the 90 degree right hander and was forced to run into the gravel.
