UP FOR AUCTION IS A VERY CLEAN AND STOCK, 1980 YAMAHA XS850 SPECIAL. I AM SELLING THIS BIKE FOR MY UNCLE. IT HAS A VERY TORQUEY THREE CYLINDER ENGINE THAT RUN'S GREAT. BIKE HAS ALWAY'S BEEN WELL SERVICED. IT HAS VERY LOW MILEAGE, AND THE CONDITION SHOW'S. THE PAINT AND CHROME IS IN GREAT CONDITION, ESPECIALLY FOR THE AGE. BIKE HAS BEEN IN USE, AND IS READY TO RIDE. The Yamaha - built by the extraordinary Kel Carruthers - that Hailwood is riding in the clip featured a unique frame with the camera housed within. The voice-over recording provided by Hailwood was done by taping a small mic to the bottom of his lip so he could dictate his guide to the 37.73 mile route.

Fri, 27 Jul 2012Back in 2009, Yamaha released an entertaining video featuring MotoGP racers Valentino Rossi, Jorge Lorenzo, Colin Edwards and James Toseland working on various mundane jobs at Yamaha Motor USA headquarters. Three years later, Yamaha has released a follow-up featuring its current MotoGP lineup of Lorenzo, Ben Spies, Cal Crutchlow and Andrea Dovizioso (with King Kenny Roberts lunchbox in tow). Tech3 Yamaha racer Crutchlow takes over his predecessor Edwards’ spot as a Yamaha security guard, but throws his own British spin on the job.
