UP FOR AUCTION IS A RECENTLY FINISHED 1980 YAMAHA XS 650 THAT WAS BUILT AT MY SHOP NORTHSIDE WELDING & MACHINE LLC. THE BIKE HAD 26,000 MILES BEFORE THE REBUILD AND MAYBE 100 SINCE. THIS BIKE HAS COMPLETELY BEEN GONE THRU. BELOW IS A LIST OF NOTABLES
THIS BIKE IS FUN TO RIDE AND READY TO RIP. THERE ARE A TON OF SMALLER PARTS THAT WERE REPLACED THAT I DID NOT MENTION.. CABLES ETC, BRAKE PADS, CALIPER REBUILD KIT, FUEL LINES. Here's a video of the Australian's rotary air compression-engined Yamaha WR250R being taken out for a spin. Apparently it can hit 87 mph and cover more than 60 miles on a scuba-tankful's worth.

Maybe (for us mere mortals) it’s that rapidly, yet unexpectedly, tightening left-hand bend with a shitty, mud-covered veneer just at the apex.
Think You’re a Smooth Rider? Yamaha’s SmartRiding App Will Prove It
Fri, 04 Oct 2013Yamaha has released a new app that records and evaluates riding habits. The free Yamaha SmartRiding app (available now in the App store) uses the Apple devices sensors to measure basic telemetry to evaluate how smoothly you handle curves. The app requires the device to be firmly fixed to the motorcycle in either a vertical or horizontal arrangement (the app is compatible with iPhones, iPods and iPads, though I’m not sure how many people will mount a tablet to their motorcycle).
