Up for Sale is a 1980 Yamaha XS650 Special 2 motorcycle. Clear title. 12,287 Miles. Frame # 3G0-005000. Motor # 3G0-005000. It Does not run, turns over with great compression. Was parked in 1991. Looks to be Complete. Front brake will need to be bleed. Rear works as it should. Gas tank has no dents. Inside is clean. Overall the chrome shows pitting. Seat is torn up, pan is solid. Fenders show no dents. Good project motorcycle .You receive what is pictured. Please see my other vintage motorcycles and parts. Ben Spies Leaving Yamaha At End of 2012 MotoGP Season
Tue, 24 Jul 2012MotoGP racer Ben Spies has announced he will not re-sign with Yamaha while hinting at an impending announcement for his plans for the 2013 racing season. Earlier this week, Spies used Twitter (@BenSpies11) to hint at a change for next season. In an email to SuperbikePlanet, Spies confirmed he has decided not to remain with Yamaha for several unspecified reasons.
David Stanton Charity Trackday Raises $75,000
Fri, 22 Nov 2013The generosity of the motorcycling community shone brightly on Monday, as riders, fans, friends and enthusiasts took part in a charity track day at Sonoma Raceway hosted by 3J’s Motorcycle Track Days, raising $75,000. The charity track day was to benefit David Stanton, a Bay Area resident and long-time American Federation of Motorcyclists (AFM) competitor, who was paralyzed after a racing crash in June. In all, more than 400 people participated in the track day, attended the evening reception or stopped by to give Stanton their best wishes.
