Yamaha XS description

I bought this Yamaha XS400 From Conneticutt in the begining of last summer. This bike was formally used to train Police officers how to ride. The bike only has 5100 original miles on it, however, it had sat for many years. I thought it would be a Great Bike to make a Kick Ass Bobber out of. Some of the work I've done, I cut part of the back end off the bike, I fabricated a new seat bracket to except the solo seat, I had to modify part of the frame to except the Harley tank. I shortened the rear fender, I modified the front to except the new headlight. Some of the new items I bought...Headlight, Solo Seat, Brake lights and Directional Lights, New front Tire, Drag Bars,Shorty Mufflers,New Clutch Cable, Hand Grips, Harley tank, this tank was brand New..NOS, This tank looks Orange in the photo, but it's really Red. New Carbon Fiber Mirrors, Wrapped the Pipes, New Heavy Duty Gold Chain. This bike runs and idles Great, however, I think the carbs need to be syncronized, just doesn't seem to have the power it should. But, I've only put on about 5 miles. I'm sure I left out some things that were done or that was new. This bike turns everybodys head. There is very little to finish this project that I have 90% done, the headlight and blinkers stopped working. I'm onto a boat project now and have no more interest in finishing this. My loss, your gain. I also have this listed locally, but as soon as I get near my reserve I will end the local ad. I DO NOT have A TITLE for this bike, I had to put something down under vehicle title. Rhode Island does not issue titles for any vehicles over 10 yrs old. I will supply a Bill of Sale and a copy of the current registration. If you want a picture of the bike that I didn't supply, just ask. I will not ship this bike, however, if you make shipping arrangements I will help load it up. I do not ship overseas, so please don't ask. Feel free to ask any questions, I'll do my best to answer them. This is a small bike, would be good for a small man or a female.

Recreate Rossi’s Corkscrew Pass on Stoner at Laguna Seca with Paper

Fri, 27 Dec 2013

Valentino Rossi‘s career is full of many incredible moments but few are as indelible as the move he made to pass Casey Stoner on the 23rd lap of the 2008 U.S. Grand Prix at Laguna Seca. The controversial cut through the famous Corkscrew was arguably the most dramatic moment of the 2008 MotoGP season (and ironically, recreated this year, with Marc Marquez turning the tables on Rossi).
