Yamaha XS description

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE AD! Thank you. 1978 Yamaha XS 650 custom Bobber. You can put the shocks and Cafe' seat back on it and make it a Cafe' if you want. The seat and shocks come with the bike or just ride her like she is as a Bobber. Swapping it takes about 20 minutes. Thats it.  Its like getting two bikes for the price of one! You will have a very hard time finding one this nice. Disc in the front and rear, progressive shocks (when Cafe') hardtail struts when not. New tires, new battery, new air filters, new clutch, rebuilt carbs. Way to much to list. It needs a minor cleaning from sitting in the garage. It has only been ridden about 500 miles since it was built. Always stored in the garage. Starts right up and runs good. NO LEAKS! NO SMOKE! NO NOISES! Take a good look at the pictures and email me if you have a question. AGAIN TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT THE PICTURES. The paint is not perfect. You can zoom in etc to get a good look. NO PAYPAL. Must be paid for in 7 days. Storage is no problem as long as its paid for first. YOU CAN COME SEE IT ANYTIME. Buyer pays and arranges all shipping. You must contact me within 48 hours after buying or it will be relisted. I'm not ending the auction for local buyers that send there # and never show up so bid away! You won't be disappointed. ALL BUYERS WITH UNDER 10 FEEDBACKS MUST CONTACT ME WITH A PHONE # TO CALL OR YOUR BID WILL BE CANCELLED. AMA Supercross: 2012 San Diego Results

Mon, 13 Feb 2012

Ryan Villopoto captured his second straight victory, winning the San Diego round of the 2012 AMA Supercross championship. The Monster Energy Kawasaki rider now has three wins on the season, two more than anyone else, but his hold on the championship points lead has only increased to six points. Villopoto took the lead on the second lap of the main event after overtaking Brett Metcalfe of Yoshimura Suzuki who took the holeshot, with Villopoto‘s teammate Jake Weimer also in the lead group.

A breath of fresh air

Dean Benstead's air-powered bike project, O2 Pursuit, which we spoke about a year ago, seems to have come along nicely since. Here's a video of the Australian's rotary air compression-engined Yamaha WR250R being taken out for a spin. Apparently it can hit 87 mph and cover more than 60 miles on a scuba-tankful's worth.

Kenny Roberts Motorcycle Collection Up For Sale

Wed, 25 Apr 2012

Motorcycling legend Kenny Roberts has commissioned RMD Motors to auction off some rare and exclusive motorcycles from his collection, presumably to make room for more. The Japan-based company is known the world over for its collection of rare and classic motorcycles for sale, many of which are retired grand prix machines fortunate enough to escape the fate of most decommissioned racebikes: the crusher.  Headlining the Roberts collection is the 2004 Proton KRV5 originally ridden by Kurtis Roberts, King Kenny’s youngest son. The five-cylinder grand prix machine never achieved much success on the world stage, but will easily make you the center of attention at your local trackday.
