Have a stock/original 1975 Yamaha XS650 that was tucked away in 1997. After 16 yrs of sitting with the exhaust valves in the open position the valves/guides have seized. The pistons move freely, but will need exhaust valve work, or install a good pre-owned head. Probably a better buy for a XS650 enthusiast who's familiar with these bikes and may already have a pre-owned head or other XS650 projects. New AMA Pro SuperBike Final Qualifying Procedure To Be Implemented At Road America
Tue, 20 May 2014AMA Pro Racing is taking a page out of the playbook of the top racing series’ in the world and changing the qualifying format for AMA Pro SuperBike and breaking it up into three stages. This new format will debut later this month when AMA Pro Road Racing takes to the 4.05-mile track at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wis., for the Subway SuperBike Doubleheader on May 30 – June 1, 2014. All AMA Pro SuperBike competitors will participate in Qualifying 1 and 2.

Yamaha Reports Q1 2012 Results
Mon, 14 May 2012Yamaha reported a 5.3% decrease in worldwide motorcycle sales over the first quarter of 2012 despite a 25% increase in North American sales. In the quarter ended March 31, 2012, Yamaha sold 1.599 million motorcycles worldwide, down from 1.689 million motorcycles sold over the same quarter in 2011. Most of the decline was due to Yamaha’s performance in the Asian market.
