Yamaha XS description

 Vintage 1975 yamaha xs500 w/37561 miles. Kickstart!
The condition is about what you would expect from a 38 year old motorcycle that has been driven regularly. It has some minor scratches and dings. The front left turn signal lens has a hole in it. Overall it is in good cosmetic condition, I would give it an 8 out of 10. Mechanically i would give it a 9 out of 10. The engine top end was rebuilt about 3k miles ago with new gaskets, seals, timing chain and piston rings. The oil filter flange was threaded to accept a 20mm oil filter because the original filters are out of production and replacements don't fit under the side cover. I was using a k&n filter for a nissan sentra.
Has a clear acrylic windscreen/fairing. The original seat was replaced with a cafe style solo seat. I still have the original 2 person seat pad. I also have a second transmission that will go with this bike.
This would make a nice starter bike. It's been well maintained, starts easy and runs great.
