Attention vintage motorcycle collectors,here is a 1975 Yamaha XS500 project one owner with 2,188 actual miles! bike has been sitting inside storage for twenty years,title has been lost,i can give a bill of sale and pass along contact information of a title company that can aquire a new title for the winner of the auction,the vin plate is missing but the previous owner engraved the vin on the frame and that matches the engine #,motor kicks over with good compression with the kicker on the side of the bike,throttle is free,brakes don't work,needs a battery,carbs probably will need cleaning before the bike will run,tank looks ok inside,key is missing,clutch lever pulls in,tranni shifts threw the gears,there might be some rust here and there on the bike,might be a nut or bolt missing also and or other everything I have for the bike is in the pictures,selling as is although I don't see any major repairs that the bike will need,buyer will have to pay for shipping and locate there own shipper if one is needed I'm not sure there prices I have met with them several times usually uship.com,i can store the bike for one week after the auction ends sorry no longer,auction may end early because I might sell the bike before the auction ends,paypal or wal mart wire transfer accepted as payment if your not local,Thanks for looking and good luck bidding,im located in Minnesota,the bike is in storage and the zip code is 55304,Im always looking to buy old and or unwanted Motorcycles and Dirt bikes,Thanks Carl.

The deal came at the eleventh hour, as contract negotiations and minor details needed to be sorted. Lorenzo to Remain with Yamaha Through 2014 MotoGP Season
Tue, 12 Jun 2012Jorge Lorenzo has signed a contract extension with Yamaha that will see the 2010 MotoGP Champion riding the M1 through the 2014 season. Lorenzo currently leads the 2012 MotoGP Championship points chase with 115 points and is looking for his second premiere class title. Through five races this season, Lorenzo has three wins and a pair of second-place finishes, matching his pace from his championship-winning 2010 season.
