Here is a great running XS650 that is completely stock except for the Handlebars and the ugly king/queen seat. This bike fires right up, accelerates smoothly. Features a brand new rear tire and Battery. The nice thing about a bike that has the cruiser accessories that this bike has, is you know it was not ridden hard. With only a little over 9000 miles on it you know there are plenty of miles left. Enjoy it like it is or make a tracker or cafe out of it. Its a very nice bike that has been taken care of. Will need front seal and wipers. Some scratches on the top of the tank and on the left pipe but nothing you wouldn't expect from a 40 year old bike. Clear paperwork. Canadian Speeder’s Yamaha R1 Seen in Now-Famous YouTube Video Sold in Auction
Wed, 22 Aug 2012The Vancouver Sun is reporting on its website today that the Yamaha R1 made famous in a YouTube video featuring the rider speeding along the Trans-Canada Highway was sold recently for $4,651 in an online auction. According to the Sun the auction was conducted by B.C.’s Civil Forfeiture Office, which can seize property believed to have been used for unlawful activity. The winning bidder, 4x4albert, beat more than 70 bids to claim the 2006 R1.
2013 Dakar Rally Route Announced

Now in its fifth year in Latin America, the 2013 edition of the Rally will feature a new route running from north to south, starting Jan. 5 in Lima, Peru, and ending Jan.
Small-Displacement Class Considered for 2015 AMA Pro Racing Season
Wed, 04 Dec 2013More and more manufacturers are entering the small-displacement sportbike market and AMA Pro Racing has taken notice, opening the possibility of adding a new racing class representing the growing segment. With plans to consolidate the Daytona Sportbike and Supersport classes and the Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson series signed through 2015, a spot will open up on race weekends for another racing class to support the premier Superbike Championship. The logical choice is to introduce a new small-displacement class.
