This a great starter bike and has always ran well. It has no kick stand just the center rack style stand. Missing emblems and paint is good shape but it could use a fresh coat. Luckily there are not many body panels so that is a easy weekend project to make the bike your own. It looks and drives great and I will miss it but it needs to go. Time for a dune buggy. Recall for 2006-2009 Yamaha FJR1300

Yamaha is recalling certain 2006-2009 FJR1300 sport-tourers due to a problem with the electrical system. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the ground joint connector of the wire harness on some Yamaha FJR1300 models may overheat and become deformed. If the electrical system is not properly grounded, the motorcycle’s electric components including the ignition system may malfunction, potentially causing the engine to stall.

Red Bull KTM factory rider and three-time Dakar winner Marc Coma won stage five today followed by his teammate Jordi Viladoms and KTM supported rider Kuba Przygonski allowing KTM to scoop the top three places. Today´s stage five from Chilecito to Tucuman was characterized by hot temperatures, lots of sand and navigation in dry vegetation. Organizers decided to cancel the second part of the special for safety reasons and also because heavy thunderstorms threatened the area.
