It's the perfect WR for anyone looking. I bought the beauty about a month a ago and put 600 or so miles on it. Hence maintenance 600 miles ago. The bikes runs perfectly. On paper the bike is exactly what I wanted but after riding it for a while it just doesn't "do it" for me. I am the third owner and the original put most of the miles on it. It's an early production '08 but never had an issues with fuel pump. The lower height is really nice. I'm 6ft. 33" inseam and I stand over with room to spare. It would be a great DSport for the vertically challenged.

A word to the wise. It has been used as it is intended. On AND off road. There scrapes on the plastic, dings on the bash plate, dirt in all the right places. Used but not abused. I would say the only thing it needs right now would be a new set of handlebar grips. They are pretty worn. The previous owners were fastidious with upkeep on the bike and was a main point when I decided to buy it. I think anyone looking for a fully farkled 250cc Dual Sport will be very happy with this bike.

I will happy to answer any questions regarding the bike as well as any arrangements you may need to make to pick up the bike. I am not a shipper nor do I know a reputable company so please use your best judgement if going that route.

Yamaha Champions Riding School August Update

Tue, 05 Aug 2014

Our friends at the Yamaha Champions Riding School have been busy lately. Since moving to New Jersey Motorsports park in April, traffic has steadily risen, with June being sold out and July not far behind. August is very promising with some new ideas (one-day clinics to bring a more economical program to a larger group of riders) being inserted into the mix as well as a normal two-day school at the end of the month, which is already 80% full thanks to the yearly visit from the engineering department of Harley Davidson. Following August YCRS will have two schools the week directly after the AMA Pro races at NJMP.

Build your own Yamaha VMax

Tue, 15 Jun 2010

For the origami fans out there, Yamaha have a printable Paper Craft version of their VMax motorcycle (or should that be PMax - P for paper obviously) Download each of the five individual PDF pages and get folding. Might want to stock up on printer ink and A4 paper though as it looks like it will be a frustrating model. As it looks fairly impossible and time consuming I'm putting the challenge out for anyone to go out and complete the paper model themself.
