Description - Chassis/Suspension: Longish, 58.7-inch wheelbase creates a long, low package
with great handling and maneuverability. 282mm single front disc brake and a
rear drum brake provide plenty of stopping power. Plush and low stepped saddle
keeps the center of gravity low and lets almost everybody flatfoot the
pavement. Telescopic front fork with 5.5 inches of travel provides a nice,
smooth ride. Twin rear shocks feature 3.9 inches of travel and adjustable
spring preload for versatility under various loads. Additional Features: Extensive chrome details accent engine
and side covers for incomparable, “big bike” fit and finish. Stylishly sculpted
teardrop fuel tank features 2.5-gallon capacity for excellent cruising range. Chrome
pullback handlebars are easy to reach and great looking. Forward-set footpegs
enhance rider comfort by creating added legroom. Wide rear fender and front and
rear wire-spoked wheels add the perfect classic, retro touch to this stylish
package. Light weight and a seat just 27
inches from the pavement make the Virago 250 a great trainer as well as a great

MotoGP to Re-Visit Rookie Rule
Tue, 19 Jun 2012MotoGP organizers are re-opening discussion for the series’ rookie rule which prevents new riders from entering the series with factory teams. Introduced following the 2009 MotoGP season, the rule was designed to give satellite teams the chance to field young up-and-coming talents they otherwise wouldn’t have been able to sign. The theory was the rule would protect the satellite teams and spread out the talent pool.

Driving a Ford Fiesta RS with co-driver Carlo Cassina, Rossi won two of nine stages and finished second overall to eight-time World Rally Car Champion Sebastien Loeb at the 2011 Monza Rally Show.

Tue, 20 Mar 2012The 2012 Daytona 200 delivered another fairy-tale finish with underdog privateer Joey Pascarella and the Project 1 Atlanta team fending off a pack of three other racers to win by a slim 0.048 second margin. Competing in just his first Daytona 200, 19-year-old Pascarella from Victorville, Calif., held the lead for 41 out of 57 laps to finish first ahead of a last year’s winner Jason DiSalvo while Cameron Beaubier squeezed by 2010 Daytona Sportbike Champion Martin Cardenas in a photo-finish to take third. For the Project 1 Atlanta team, the win marked a dramatic turnaround from a let down in 2011.
