The exhaust sounds fantastic. Great deep big v twin rumble. Engine runs smooth. The bike needs clutch work. When on the center stand the wheel spins as it should in all gears, but when the clutch lever is pulled in, the wheel continues to spin as if the clutch lever was still out. The lever pull itself is very light. This will need to be addressed before it can be ridden. It will also need some wiring work as the blinkers do not work (headlight and taillight work) and an overall cleaning up. The chrome is dusty in the photos but shines great when clean. I do not have the time or space to dedicate to it so it is being sold with NO RESERVE as is as a PROJECT exactly how you see it. With a good going over and some minor work this could be a very cool bike. I will not sell for lower than the opening bid. If it doesn't sell I will find a place to keep it, fix it and list again in the spring. Day 1 Dakar 2014: Barreda Draws First Blood
Mon, 06 Jan 2014Team HRC’s Joan Barreda on the Honda CRF450 Rally, got off to a storming start in day one of the 2014 Dakar rally, clocking up the fastest time of all the 175 riders at the first time-check. The former Husqvarna rider who moved to Honda in the middle of the season inaugurated his 2014 Dakar with an acrobatic performance. The motorcycle competition was expected to be wide open, and that is indeed what the classification shows after the opening stage. It was a very early start for the Rally Dakar. The pack of riders headed off at four in the morning on a long 251 miles that took them towards the vibrant city of Rosario for the start of the 112 mile special.

But the Rizoma ProGuard system has helped secure the levers of Toni Elias on his road to championship success in the inaugural Moto2 season. The example above was on an attractive Rizoma-enhanced BMW S1000RR, but the lever guards are not limited to sports bikes, they were also visible on Yamaha's FZ8. The patented design can tilt up to 10 degrees providing full lever coverage and can be added by simply replacing the bike's existing bar-ends.

Tue, 20 Jul 2010RANDY de Puniet may well have just been ejected from his LCR Honda RC212V MotoGP racer during qualifying for Sunday's Sachsenring GP but that ain't gonna stop him from bringing one of the company perks with him to Dr Costa's on-circuit surgery. The Frenchman crashed during qualifying after hitting oil and water spilled on track by Jorge Lorenzo's Fiat Yamaha, after it spewed its guts along almost the entire length of the start finished straight. Following the crash De Puniet was whisked away on a stretcher with a suspected broken foot.
