Yamaha Venture description

Beautiful weather to get out and ride!! As much as i hate to sell it, i am moving. I have a 1984 Yamaha Venture XVZ12 for sale. It is a 1984 so, yes it does leak a little oil. Just had it inspected on June 23rd. New windshield, Has AM/FM Tape Deck Radio and a 40 channel CB with external speaker and microphone. Seats 2. Has 3 removable storage containers (1 on each side and 1 in the rear). 2 bright flood lights in front. A 12 volt plug (I used it for a GPS) Look at pictures.  As you can see there is a little wear to the front of the seat.  Also left side storage has scratches ....nice bike, but I'm moving and can't take it with me. My loss, your gain. Thanks!

Motorcycle is listed locally so auction may be canceled early.

Haga Signs with Swan Yamaha to Race in 2012 British Superbike Championship

Mon, 13 Feb 2012

Noriyuki Haga is headed for the British Superbike Championship after signing on with the Swan Yamaha team to replace the injured Ian Hutchinson. Haga had been a mainstay on the World Superbike circuit for over a decade but after being unable to find a team for this season, the 36-year-old veteran will be plying his trade in the U.K. Haga will ride the Yamaha R1 alongside teammate and defending BSB Champion Tommy Hill.

The short but sweet life of the Yamaha R7

Tue, 17 Jan 2012

I was reunited with an old friend recently, my 1999 Virgin Yamaha R7 Superbike. By the end of 1998 I had won three straight BSB titles with the Yamaha YZF750, when main sponsor Cadbury’s pulled out leaving zero funds for a title defence. Wanting desperately to ride the new R7 and thinking a replacement backer would instantly get on board I turned down quite a few offers including a juicy contract from Crescent Suzuki (Paul Denning always enjoys reminding me).

Custom R1 for Riders for Health

Tue, 08 Dec 2009

This R1 will be auctioned in 2010 to raise money for Riders for Health. The bike was donated by Yamaha and the paintjob was designed by Aldo Drudi - the guy behind Rossi's helmet designs. See the similarity?!
