Yamaha V Star description

Here is another great example of an awesome, super clean, very, very well maintained metric cruiser traded in on a Can Am three wheeled Spyder!  This gentleman is an excellent rider, who simply didn't feel as though he could ride on two wheels safely for too much longer.  He especially didn't feel as though he wanted to have a passenger along on an upcoming 3000 mile trip! So, he and a buddy both traded in their bikes.
As for the bike, it is beautiful.  It has been meticulously maintained, is nearly spotless, and has absolutely no cosmetic or mechanical issues to speak of.  It is a buy and ride it bike.  End of story.  The oil was just changed, the brakes are very good, the tires measure out at 4/32 front and 8/32 rear which is practically new. The windscreen and very functional rear bags make it a great distance tourer, and the nimble feel makes it a fun local commuter.  That's it.  Serious bidders only, bid to win.  Winner must place a $250 deposit via PayPal within 48 hours of auction close, with balance due within 7 days of auction close.  Winner is responsible for getting it home. PA residents must pay PA sales tax and all related title and transfer fees.  All others simply pay the winning bid and pay everything lese in their home state.  Winner is responsible for getting it home.  Any questions, just ask.  Thanks and good luck bidding!

How To Rebuild a Yamaha R6 In Under A Minute + Video

Mon, 30 Jun 2014

If you’re new to the road racing scene, you might have heard the terms “Factory” and “Privateer.” For the casual observer, you’ll notice the difference between the two ultimately comes down to money and support, as one is likely working out of the back of their van while the other is supported by an 18-wheeler. This video, shot by the Y.E.S./Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha team makes the line between the two sides clear as day. Watch as the Yamaha crew rebuilds Garrett Gerloff’s R6 from the frame up after a nasty crash with enough time to make the race.

Yamaha to Produce PES1 and PED1 Electric Motorcycles by 2016

Mon, 21 Apr 2014

Yamaha announced plans to release the production versions of its PES1 and PED1 concept models within two years as part of the company’s plans to enter the electric motorcycle segment. The PES1 and PED1 (which stands for “Passion, Electric, Street” and “Passion, Electric, Dirt”) concepts were first revealed at last November’s Tokyo Motor Show. In the company’s newly-published annual report, Yamaha confirmed plans to produce the two models, saying: “In sports motorcycles, we are working to create new value with EV sports motorcycles, which we aim to launch in two years, with the development of the small, on-road sports PES1, as well as the PED1, which are being developed to expand the scope of electric vehicles to the off-road world.
