Yamaha V Star description

2009 Yamaha V Star 250, Want to ride? Start here.Want to ride? Start here.Plenty of torque, smooth roll-on power, light weight and a seat just 27 inches from the pavement make the V Star 250 super-nimble and maneuverable, and the perfect Star to get started on.There are a whole bunch of reasons to check out the V-Star 250, but the most intriguing is it's authentic V-twin powerplant, which means that you're getting full-sized rumble and styling in an easy to ride, lightweight bike. For years, the V-Star 250 (formerly Virago 250) has been touted as one of the finest entry bikes around. And for good reason. With an authentic V-twin engine, the Virago will give you the grunt and growl that you don't often find in the lightweight class. It's also got a low 685mm (27 ) seat height for added confidence, perfect for novice riders. One ride and you'll see why so many entry riders have chosen this nimble, confidence-inspiring cruiser. Heavyweight styling. Lightweight packaging.

Team Hammer Releases Martin Cardenas

Fri, 04 Jan 2013

AMA Pro Racing’s Team Hammer has released Martin Cardenas from his contract to allow the reigning AMA Daytona Sportbike Champion “to better pursue his goal of returning to World Championship competition as soon as possible.” Though the eventual goal appears to be for Cardenas to move up to the World Superbike Championship, rumors have Cardenas landing with the Yoshimura Suzuki factory team to race in the AMA Superbike Championship in 2013 as an eventual stepping stone towards international racing. Cardenas won the 2010 and 2012 AMA Daytona Sportbike championships with Team Hammer riding a Suzuki GSX-R600. Team Hammer held a contract option for Cardenas for the 2013 season but decided to release the Colombian racer, allowing him to take a different route towards a WSBK career.

Like Kenny Roberts, Valentino Rossi has got his own ranch where he has built his own private motocross track and dirt oval. The above YouTube video shows Rossi training on the flat-track circuit that makes up his 'MotoRanch' located near his home town of Tavullia. He's shown riding a Yamaha, but that's probably because Ducati don't have themselves a scrambler.
