There is no question that the BSB paddock has been split over the radical new points scoring system introduced for 2010. That said, no one can argue that the formula hasn't worked as we are in for the most exciting season end at the Oulton Park triple header on the 9th/10th of October. There may only be six riders in the final shoot out but there are at least another six that can win races, ultimately spoiling the party for the championship hopefuls.

Yamaha released a new microsite teasing the launch of two models, expected to be the production versions of the YZF-R25 (or perhaps YZF-R3 for certain markets) and the Tricity leaning three-wheeled scooter. Earlier this month, we reported on the partnership between Yamaha and Movistar that would place the Spanish telecommunications company as title sponsor for the Yamaha MotoGP team for the next five years. The deal came at the eleventh hour, as contract negotiations and minor details needed to be sorted. Now, just days before the start of the 2014 season at the Grand Prix of Qatar, Yamaha has revealed its official 2014 MotoGP livery.
