Yamaha V Star description

2009 Yamaha Star 1300 Tour with low mileage. This bike is in excellent condition but is due for an oil change. The cruiser is being sold as is and I will consider delivery if within 50 miles of 66049 area code, if you are not within 50 miles it must be picked up as I will not ship.

The stock 1300 comes with leather wrapped hard bags, sissy bar, and full windshield. I am also including the chrome cover parts for removal of the sissy bar and leather bags. As you can see in the pictures there are two different setups. One with a large fiberglass trunk with wraparound backrest that is lined and lockable and one with the sissy bar. The trunk and all hardware comes with the bike. The bike also has ISO Grip for those longer trips. I am the only owner and the bike has never been laid down

The title is clear. Please send me any questions about the bike and I will be happy to answer them.

BSB 2012; Mystic Mac investigates

Tue, 03 Jan 2012

In my opinion, the smartest move in the BSB off season has to be Michael Laverty moving from Swan Yamaha to HM Plant Honda. With a ban on electronics for 2012, and in particular traction control, WFR's Graham Gowland has already proved to Laverty how competitive an EVO spec Fireblade can be - so I’m tipping both these riders to be bang on the money at the Brands Hatch season opener in April. Unlike BMW, Kawasaki and Yamaha, Honda have deliberately developed their road-going Superbike without electronics to give a user friendly feel with good mechanical traction, so it’ll be interesting to see how the opposition copes with their high-tech trickery stripped off.

Yamaha Planning Sub-$500 Model to Undercut Honda Dream Yuga

Fri, 25 May 2012

Not long after Honda launched its ultra low-cost Dream Yuga in India, Yamaha announced it is considering a new own model that will be nearly 40% cheaper. The 109cc Dream Yuga is Honda‘s latest weapon in the battle for India’s 13-million unit per year motorcycle market. Priced at 44,642 Indian rupees (US$806), the Dream Yuga is the most affordable Honda model available in India.

The U.S. motorcycle industry saw a 4.6% decrease in year-on-year sales over the first six months of 2011, thanks mostly to a 17.3% drop in ATV sales. Motorcycle and scooter sales however saw a 1.7% bump in the first half .
