For sale is my 2008 V Star 1300, with No Reserve. I bought this bike new in 2008 and ended up laying it down in August of 2009. Due to the accident I replaced the handlebars, gas tank, front fender, headlight, front turn signal, and front mirror. The only other things I changed on the bike are the smoke colored turn signal lenses, added floorboard extenders (because I am tall), and drilled out the exhaust baffle. After fixing the bike I rarely rode it and it sat in the garage most of the time. The last time I started it was about a year ago. I'm not sure what all will need to be done to get it on the road but I'm assuming a good cleaning, replacing all fluids and a tune up at least. The tires and belt are original and have never been replaced. There is some scratches on the right side of the gas tank and some chips on the brackets the mirrors mount to. Overall the bike is in good shape. It has only 2454 miles and would be a good winter project for someone. Bike is sold AS IS/WHERE IS with No Reserve. I have a clear title in hand, winning bid takes it. The bike is in West Columbia, SC (29169). $300 deposit must be made by the highest bidder within 24 hours of the auction ending. Lorenzo Wants to Race at Assen Despite Breaking Collarbone in Three Places
Fri, 28 Jun 2013Jorge Lorenzo underwent two hours of surgery earlier this morning in Barcelona, Spain, to insert eight screws and a titanium plate to secure his fractured collarbone. By the afternoon, the Yamaha rider was back in the Netherlands to prove he is healthy enough to race in tomorrow’s TT Assen. The reigning MotoGP champion broke his collarbone in three places after high-siding in a wet practice session Thursday.

Tue, 24 Apr 2012Trawling the internet for a sound clip of the Crossplane Crank Yamaha R1 on full chatter, I came across this: a few fast laps on board with New Zealand Superbike racer Tony Rees as he works the CABS Throttle Blipper on his 2011 R1. (Skip to 7:35 for the fast ones.) CABS is a system used by Superbike teams that makes use of the R1’s digitally controlled throttle. When you change up a gear, the bike blips in the perfect amount of revs to save time on track and make downshifts as quick and easy as clutch-less upshifts.
