Despite losing the World Supersport title last year to a hard-charging Sam Lowes, Mahi Racing Team India’s Kenan Sofuoglu, aboard his Kawasaki ZX-6R, hasn’t lost any of the pace that has made him the overwhelming favorite heading into 2014. He topped the timesheets on the first day of testing at Phillip Island, setting a time of 1:33.521, putting him at near lap-record pace. Second on the day was Dutchman Michael van der Mark, aboard the Pata Honda CBR600RR.

Jorge Lorenzo Breaks Collarbone in High-Speed Crash

The 2013 MotoGP Championship has taken a dramatic turn after defending champion Jorge Lorenzo broke his collarbone in a high-speed crash during practice for this weekend’s TT Assen in the Netherlands. James Stewart‘s hot streak continues with his second-consecutive win and fourth AMA Supercross podium in five weeks after an impressive effort at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Fresh off of signing a contract extension with Yoshimura Suzuki, Stewart took control of the Arlington main event on the third lap, passing holeshot-taker Ryan Dungey and running away with the win.
