I bought this 2002 V-Star 1100 in 2005 and am the second owner. I've loved and had a lot of fun with this bike for 11 years now. It's taken me places like Napa Valley, Tombstone AZ, Lake Tahoe, the Grand Canyon, the Big Sur Coast and Monument Valley. I'm selling because I have too many toys in the garage including a Road King, so time to let someone else enjoy their time with this great bike. This V-Star has a lot of extra chrome, forward-mounted gear shifter and foot brake for added comfort, a Corbin seat, wide whitewall tires and custom, oversized saddle bags. After 27 years in this industry, I still get a cheap thrill about throwing a leg over a new motorcycle before it is available to the general public. However, what really gets me going is when I have a chance to log more than just the couple of hundred miles typically covered in an intro and spend some real time on the road with said bike.

Yamaha Introduces 2012 V Star 950 and V Star Tourer

Yamaha revealed the first 2012 models from its Star Motorcycles brand of cruisers, the V Star 950 and V Star 950 Tourer. The 2012 V Star 950 (and the more touring-oriented V Star 950 Tourer) is powered by a fuel-injected air-cooled 942cc 60 degree V-Twin engine with a five-speed transmission. Yamaha estimates fuel economy at 47 mpg from the 4.5 gallon tank.
