For sale is a 2001 Yamaha V-Star 650 Classic cruiser.
I'll start with the low points. The bike has been dropped a few times and is scratched and dented as a result, the low price reflects this. She still runs and drives fine. Would make a great first bike for someone to learn on since its already well broken in and doesn't have enough engine to jump out from under ya. Bike has around 22,500 miles on it as I am still riding it some to keep her fit. Now the good. As you can see from the pictures the bike has a windshield, bags, and forward controls. In the past 2 years the bike has got new tires (still 2/3 treed) a windshield bag and a mustang seat for the driver and passenger. The battery was replaced 2 years ago and has been on a maintainer. The bike starts right up every time. The carburetors have also been rejeted. The bike gets in the upper 40s mpg on back roads (bout 38 on the interstate). It is pretty loud, the baffles in the exhaust have been drilled out resulting in a good sound cursing and idling but some backfiring when slowing down and are pretty loud at higher rpms. So it's a bit bruised, and loud but it's a comfortable smaller cruiser that's at home on the back roads and would make a great cheap starter bike for someone. Comes with 2 keys, tool kit, and the manual. Official 2014 MotoGP Entry List Released
Fri, 28 Feb 2014The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) released the official entry list for the 2014 MotoGP Championship including 23 riders representing 13 teams. The final entry list also lists each rider’s status as either a Open or Factory class rider. The eight Factory riders are allowed to use their teams’ own proprietary ECU software but are otherwise limited by a freeze on engine development, a limit of five engines for the whole season and just 5.3 gallons of fuel per race.

Tue, 29 Mar 2011I’ve just got back from Donington Park and the second round of the World Superbike championship. The racing was exciting, going off without a hitch, and the weather was unseasonably kind, but the meeting will be remembered by those in the fairly close knit WSB paddock for reasons other than the temperature or the race results. It’ll be remembered by most, especially those who witnessed it, as the meeting where Max Biaggi finally lost his already feeble grip on reality.

Tue, 05 Jul 2011Fans of “King” Kenny Roberts will be in for a treat as the three-time World Champion will ride not once, not twice but three times at Laguna Seca during the 2011 U.S. Grand Prix, July 22-24. As previously announced, Roberts would join Eddie Lawson and about 200 fans in riding parade laps of the Monterrey, Calif., circuit on the Friday, July 22.
