Up for auction is a low mileage, nice 2002 Yamaha V-max. I bought the bike from a salvage-yard approximately 3 years ago and rebuilt it. The bike was laid down on its right side. No motor or frame damage occurred during this accident. The radiator, water pump, right side pegs, mirror and handle bar were replaced (see attached photographs). The tip of the end of the exhaust has a small area of abrasion approximately 1" in size (see pictures). An authorized Yamaha Dealer inspected, tested and tuned the bike before I started riding it. I also put a low profile custom seat and a super brace on the front fork. I have ridden the bike lightly over the past 2 1/2 years. It is too strong a bike for me to feel comfortable riding. Note that this is a very strong running motorcycle and I recommend that only experienced riders bid on it. I have priced this bike to sell. Mon, 15 Jul 2013Jorge Lorenzo posted this picture on his Twitter feed on Sunday. Yamaha's No.1 rider had to watch Sunday's MotoGP from his apartment. Despite Crutchlow reckoning Sunday's race result would have been the same even with Pedrosa and Lorenzo on the grid, I reckon Lorenzo would have had something to say about that.
Yamaha Tops Second Day of Sepang Test as Honda Twiddles Thumbs
Wed, 29 Feb 2012Ben Spies topped the time sheets ahead of teammate Jorge Lorenzo as Yamaha continued its MotoGP pre-season testing in Malaysia. While their rivals at Honda were idled by an engine problem, the two factory Yamaha riders found improvement on their Day One times and gathered data about riding in both wet and dry conditions. Spies set the best lap time at 2:01.285 while testing different chassis settings in the morning.
