Up for auction is a low mileage, nice 2002 Yamaha V-max. I bought the bike from a salvage-yard approximately 3 years ago and rebuilt it. The bike was laid down on its right side. No motor or frame damage occurred during this accident. The radiator, water pump, right side pegs, mirror and handle bar were replaced (see attached photographs). The tip of the end of the exhaust has a small area of abrasion approximately 1" in size (see pictures). An authorized Yamaha Dealer inspected, tested and tuned the bike before I started riding it. I also put a low profile custom seat and a super brace on the front fork. I have ridden the bike lightly over the past 2 1/2 years. It is too strong a bike for me to feel comfortable riding. Note that this is a very strong running motorcycle and I recommend that only experienced riders bid on it. I have priced this bike to sell. Yamaha Trademarks Design for Three-Cylinder Sport-Tourer
Mon, 11 Aug 2014Yamaha has registered a trademark for the design of a sport-touring model based on the FZ-09. Filed with European Union’s Office for Harminization in the Internal Market, the trademarked design reveals a brand new model sharing the same frame and engine as the FZ-09 (known in Europe as the MT-09.) Discuss this at our Yamaha FZ-09 Forum. The new model will likely be compete against motorcycles such as the Suzuki V-Strom 1000 and a rumored S1000RR-based model from BMW.
2014 AMA Supercross – Toronto Results
Mon, 24 Mar 2014James Stewart captured his series-leading fourth AMA Supercross 450 class win of the season, giving him sole possession of second place on the overall career wins list ahead of Ricky Carmichael and behind Jeremy McGrath. The win also helped Stewart gain some ground on points leader Ryan Villopoto who suffered from a bout of food poisoning. Villopoto was examined at a Toronto hospital and released in time for the opening ceremonies.
