Up for sale is probably the greatest 1999 Yamaha V-Max on the planet. It only has 3667 miles on it. Has been babied all it's life and never wrecked. Everything is stock and works and runs like new. I'm 53 and never had it over 75...just don't have the time to ride. I won't give it away so there is a reserve...probably 1/4 the price of new. I'm the second owner, older gentleman from around Washington DC had it and he was moving. He programmed computers and had it tucked away in his garage. $500 deposit within 24 hours after sale then cash in person when you pick up. Yamaha to Cut Motorcycle Production in 2009
Thu, 26 Feb 2009With mounting inventories coupled with a drop in demand, Yamaha will be cutting its motorcycle production in Japan by 24 percent this year or to about 260,000 total units; one newspaper reported this would be a 40-year low for the manufacture. Yamaha plans to cut production for motorcycles and other products by 30 percent in the Americas, 20 percent in Europe but will maintain production levels in Asia where demand has not dropped off. The company is forecasting its group sales to fall 22 percent with an operating loss of about $300 million.

Wed, 05 Jun 2013The Michael Dunlop Show continues with the 24-year-old Northern Irish racer winning his fourth race of the 2013 Isle of Man TT. His latest triumph was a victory in the second Monster Energy Supersport race, making Dunlop just the third rider to ever record four wins in a single TT week. Like his win in the Royal London 360 Superstock race, Dunlop ran most of the race in second place before setting a blazing final lap time for a come-from-behind win.
