Yamaha V Max tech info
Yamaha V Max description
Opportunity to own a piece of history. 1985 is the first year the vmax was sold in the states. And the selling point is fast acceleration. There is only a few floating around for sale most all need work. This is a rare find. Clean title. Front tire has some tread but when it's time I have a new one with beads. Also have a few other extras. Original manual and a motor cycle report, says this vmax goes 0-60 in 2.88 seconds and runs a quarter mile in 10.99 seconds. This bike has blazing acceleration not for a beginner. It's a really clean bike it's not mint condition but certainly qualifies for excellent. If you know about vmaxs this is a collection piece to some. I am the 3rd owner. The 1st was a pastor. The econd was a mechanic who I'm still in contact with. Has high miles but there is nothing wrong with this bike needs nothing, no leaks, fires right up on the coldest days. The more time passes the less and less one can be found and the value will rise.

Yamaha Officially Announces Monster Energy Sponsorship
Tue, 08 Jan 2013As we reported in December, energy drink producer Monster Energy has signed a sponsorship agreement with Yamaha‘s factory MotoGP program, putting its brand on the Yamaha YZR-M1 race bikes, team clothing and equipment, as well as riders Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi. Monster Energy already had a personal sponsorship deal with Rossi but the company will now also sponsor Lorenzo. The reigning MotoGP Champion had previously had a sponsorship arrangement with rival energy drink company RockStar, but Yamaha exercised a clause in its contract with Lorenzo allowing a buy out of the RockStar deal as it conflicts with the team’s sponsor.

The onboard video, embedded after the jump, captures the Yamaha weaving through traffic, and often lane-splitting between other vehicles, covering a 4.67 mile stretch of the Trans-Canada Highway in about a minute and 56 seconds. That translates to an average speed of 144.6 mph.
