Yamaha TT description

2013 Yamaha TT R230, When it replaced the old TT-R225, the Yamaha TT-R230 was seen by many riders as one of the best dirt bikes in its class. Even after a few years since its debut the bike is still considered one of the most practical and rugged models in the segment, being perfectly suited for a wide range of applications.

At the heart of the Yamaha TT-R230 lies an electric start, 223cc air-cooled, SOHC four-stroke engine which rewards you a smooth response and a widespread power band perfectly suited for all kinds of trails and riders. The engine is much stronger than expected for an entry level youth bike and you ll also like the smooth-shifting, six-speed transmission which features a heavy-duty clutch.

Additionally the Yamaha TT-R230 is fitted with a reliable CDI magneto ignition system and a lightweight exhaust with quiet muffler and USFS-approved spark arrestor.

2022 Yamaha MT-10 SP Review - First Ride

Fri, 18 Nov 2022

The MT-10 steps it up with some help from Öhlins. Credit: Photos by Joseph Agustin | Videos by Ray Gouger, Justin Brayton Let the record show that, despite my best efforts, Yamaha’s MT-10 was not included in either the street or track portions of our mega seven-way open-class naked bike shootouts last year. I fought for its inclusion but was ultimately denied by the Bossman who wrote it off by saying our field was big enough and it wasn’t going to win anyway.

Church of MO: 2002 Yamaha FJR1300

Sun, 07 Aug 2022

All we learn from history, goes the current cynical wisdom, is that we learn nothing from history. Then again, maybe we do? For instance, I just learned this morning that Yamaha is still stamping out the FJR1300ES 20 years after the original 2002 FJR1300 hit our shores.

Used Review: Dainese Jerico R winter gloves

Fri, 04 Mar 2011

DAINESE JERICO-R Being stuck up a mountain with your bike buried to the pegs in snow is not the best place to be a week before Christmas, especially when its 1200kms from home. Only owning perforated summer gloves is also far from ideal. This is the situation I found myself in and seeing as everything in Italy costs a million Euros, I wasn’t prepared to spend a fortune on a set of discontinued Oxford heated grips from the local motocross shop.  A very pretty girl called Fanny at Chitrrai Yamaha, near Perugia, showed me the winter glove options.
