Japan Needs Your Help
Thu, 17 Mar 2011By now, we’ve all seen pictures and video of the devastation in Japan following the March 11 earthquake and the ensuing tsunamis. Japan, of course, has contributed much to motorcycling, with the Big Four of Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha, as well as tire manufacturer Bridgestone, helmet companies Arai and Shoei and many other motorcycle industry stalwarts all coming from the Land of the Rising Sun. Recall for 2011 Yamaha FJR1300
Mon, 11 Jul 2011Yamaha is initiating a recall campaign the 2011 FJR1300, just a week after a separate recall for the 2006-2009 versions of the sport touring motorcycle. Like the earlier campaign, the recall for the 2011 Yamaha FJR1300 is for an electrical issue, this time for the brake lights. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, brake light on affected units may not illuminate when the front brake lever is applied because the activating mechanism in the brake switch can bind.
David Stanton Charity Trackday Raises $75,000
Fri, 22 Nov 2013The generosity of the motorcycling community shone brightly on Monday, as riders, fans, friends and enthusiasts took part in a charity track day at Sonoma Raceway hosted by 3J’s Motorcycle Track Days, raising $75,000. The charity track day was to benefit David Stanton, a Bay Area resident and long-time American Federation of Motorcyclists (AFM) competitor, who was paralyzed after a racing crash in June. In all, more than 400 people participated in the track day, attended the evening reception or stopped by to give Stanton their best wishes.
