Yamaha Roadliner description

2013 YAMAHA ROADLINER S, FOR THOSE WHO THINK BIG. Our biggest V-twin is also our boldest, with a highly advanced fuel-injected engine producing peak torque at only 2,250 rpm. And an aluminum frame for the kind of solid, precise handling nothing else in its class can touch. The Roadliner S gets chrome switchgear, front brake and clutch master cylinders and levers, belt guard, fork and fork covers, handlebar clamps, shifter, front pulley cover, various engine covers, rear fender stay and polished wheels. Available from October 2012

In order to use footage from a Dorna-sanctioned MotoGP test session — say, for marketing or promotional reasons — a team must receive approval from Dorna. The process is tedious, and even if permission is granted, there are strict limitations as to what the material may or may not be used for. So when Honda decided to conduct its own private test (which Yamaha also joined), at the Circuit of the Americas, it was free from any and all Dorna mandates.

I’m still in shock that Casey Stoner has decided to head back home for a spot of fishing.

A breath of fresh air

Dean Benstead's air-powered bike project, O2 Pursuit, which we spoke about a year ago, seems to have come along nicely since. Here's a video of the Australian's rotary air compression-engined Yamaha WR250R being taken out for a spin. Apparently it can hit 87 mph and cover more than 60 miles on a scuba-tankful's worth.
