Yamaha Roadliner description

2008 Roadliner S.  Extremely well taken care of; always garaged.  Bike looks better than new.  Maintenance always done at required intervals.  Never a single issue with it.  113 ci motor is a torque monster and runs strong.  Dynoed at 92 horse and 118 torque stock!  Not many made with Red and Black color combo.  Paint has a few chips that has been touched up and right mirror has a scuff on the inner edge...very hard to see in pics.  Has Avon Cobra tires front and rear.   Front is 30% worn, rear is 75-80% worn.  Comes with Iso grips, backrest, slip on muffler, and rear running light mod.  Great bike for the money!

James Stewart captured his first AMA Supercross win of the season, leading all 20 laps before a crowd of 56,828 fans at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, Calif. The Yoshimura Suzuki rider becomes the fourth different winner of  the season in the 450 class through six rounds. The news was less positive for last week’s winner Chad Reed.

Back in the day, the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba

This ‘you tube’ gem sent to me recently brought back some funny memories from the scary but incredibly exciting days of 500cc two stroke racing. This particular race was the final round of the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba Circuit where I enjoyed a head to head battle with national hero Tadahiko Taira. Yamaha’s favourite son at the time, ‘tie wrap’ as we liked to call him, was taller and better looking than most Japanese riders (maybe a war baby?) and went on to win nearly everything in Japan during his career.

Yamaha Reports Q1 2012 Results

Mon, 14 May 2012

Yamaha reported a 5.3% decrease in worldwide motorcycle sales over the first quarter of 2012 despite a 25% increase in North American sales. In the quarter ended March 31, 2012, Yamaha sold 1.599 million motorcycles worldwide, down from 1.689 million motorcycles sold over the same quarter in 2011. Most of the decline was due to Yamaha’s performance in the Asian market.
