Yamaha Road Star description

2009 Yamaha Road Star, This bike has been upgraded with a Star Windshield, engine guards and soft saddlebags. The Road Star is one of the biggest, baddest air-cooled V-twins in the business. It looks good, due mostly to the classic appeal of that hardtail-looking steel frame and all the classic-looking hardware that goes with it. When it comes to power that fuel-injected 102-cubic-inch overhead-valve air-cooled V-twin assures the horses are never in short supply.** Sale pricing does not include freight, dealer set-up & prep, taxes, license or a dealer doc fee of up to $150.00 may be added to selling price. All sale pricing already reflects any factory incentives that may apply at time of sale** Sale price end 09/30/2013

New: Venhill 888 fast-action twistgrips

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

CONTROL specialist Venhill has launched its new 888 range of bike-specific fast action twistgrips.  Supplied complete with the company's top of the range Featherlight cables, the kits are designed for a straightforward replacement of the factory-fitted equipment.  Bike-specific kits are now available for the Honda CBR600F, Kawasaki ZX-6R/ZX-10R, Suzuki GSX-R600/750, Triumph 675 Daytona and Yamaha R1/R6, among others, with prices from £105. Here's Venhill's description of the new product: "Manufactured with a robust CNC machined alloy body, the 888 fast action twistgrip provides a choice of two settings and is supplied with two rotors so that riders can select the throttle action that best suits the riding conditions.  Settings can be changed swiftly by undoing the two set screws securing the throttle body and changing the rotor. On the fastest setting there is 80° of rotation, (taking up 36mm of the cable), which is typically 45% faster than 'standard' throttles.

Yamaha R6 to Continue Racing in Supersport Next Generation Category

Mon, 17 Jan 2022

No R6 replacement for the near future Last month, the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) provided the first look at the new “ Supersport Next Generation” models that will redefine middleweight racing class. Starting with the 2022 season, the World Supersport class (and their equivalents in various national racing series such as MotoAmerica) will add new models such as the Ducati Panigale V2, MV Agusta F3 800, MV Agusta F3 Superveloce, Triumph Street Triple RS, Suzuki GSX-R750, and the 636cc Kawasaki ZX-6R. The primarily 600cc models that previously represented the class will continue for one more season, before the Supersport Next Generation models take over completely in 2023.

2013 Yamaha YZF-R6 Color and Graphic Options Announced

Thu, 13 Sep 2012

Those of you hoping for an updated Yamaha YZF-R6 will have to wait for at least another year, as Yamaha announced the 599cc sportbike is returning for 2013 unchanged except for new colors and graphics. Yamaha last updated the R6 in 2008, equipping it with the company’s Yamaha Chip Controlled Intake (YCC-T) variable-length intake system. The lack of any significant updates to the 2013 R6 must be disappointing to Yamaha fans, especially as the color updates were announced the same day Kawasaki is expected to reveal a new 636cc ZX-6R.
