Yamaha Road Star description

This is a 2002 Warrior, bought new. engine was built by Patrick Racing.

I have listed all the modifications that are known to have been done and all the accessories that are known to be on there. The bike has always been maintained and oil changes performed every 4 months regardless of if it was ridden. Last service was replacement of O-Rings. Brand new Duracell 220AMP Battery.

The new motor after the modification, which increased the size to 2.0L with all new pistons, rods, etc. has only 800 miles on it. So very little miles. I have listed the known issues with the bike below:

  1. Front left turn signal, when in running mode is not ON. when blinking it works. I suspect its a electrical connection, loose wire or such. The light is not burned out.
  2. Rear wheel needs to be rechromed. The bike was always garaged and covered. But the rear wheel needs to be rechromed.

These are the only two known issues with the bike that I am aware of.

The bike gets compliments everywhere its shown and has won many awards. Keep in mind this bike is modified with many after market parts. Its an air cooled V-Twin, so not much trouble to maintain. ask me any questions. Be a confident bidder. The sell is as is. You cannot come back after a day, week or month and say the bike died or broke or anything else. So ask ask ask me anything you need to know. I will help ship internationally, but only to have the bike picked up or possibly delivered to a local transportation company (not a promise, but depends on where it is). From there on, you are on your own with the transportation company. I have sold bikes internationally before and know it can be complicated to get it all the way to its destination. Again, please ASK ASK ASK what you need to know. An informed buyer is the best buyer. Total Invested: $33,000 Total known Parts: $27,000 Total Labor: Over $6,000

Hipsters: How not to live your life

Mon, 07 Feb 2011

I have to start this piece by stating that I'm not from London. I may work here but I grew up in a remote North Western market town where people were (rightly) suspicious of anything or anybody new. Back to London.

Rumor: Yamaha Developing Inline Three Roadster

Wed, 25 Jan 2012

French motorcycle outlet Moto Revue reports Yamaha is developing a new three-cylinder middleweight. Citing an internal Yamaha document, Moto Revue reports the new naked model will feature an inline Triple engine, aluminum perimeter frame, upside-down fork and a triple-pipe exhaust like the MV Agusta F3 and Brutale 675. Yamaha has produced a Triple before, offering the XS750 from 1976-1979 before replacing it with the XS850 in 1980 and 1981 (pictured above is the 1981 Yamaha XS850.) The potential new model is still likely to be years away, so its look is yet to be determined, though Moto Revue does have a rendering that borrows some of the design elements from the FZ8.

Three-Time World Champion Wayne Rainey Honored At Quail Motorcycle Gathering

Thu, 09 May 2013

Saturday, May 4 marked the 5th annual Quail Motorcycle Gathering in Carmel, California. With such a diverse collection of historical, rare and outrageous motorcycles, the Quail is an event we thoroughly enjoyed attending last year. To commemorate the occasion, this year’s guest of honor was none other than three-time 500cc Grand Prix world champion, and local area resident, Wayne Rainey.
