Stoner explains the tank slapper
Mon, 03 Oct 2011Casey Stoner looked all set to win at Motegi, after translating his pole position into an early race-lead. But coming over the crest on the back straight his bike momentarily lost control in a tank slapper. Regaining composure the championship leader was forced to pump his brakes to get the pads back in place, with the rear-wheel bouncing in the air he ran out of time and space to make the 90 degree right hander and was forced to run into the gravel.

Tue, 09 Mar 2010Focused Events Rider Development Days at Silverstone offer a new, intense tuition-based experience on a selection of new Supersport machines, hosted by high-level instructors including Niall Mackenzie, Jamie Whitham and Steve Plater.The courses will be situated at Stowe circuit, Silverstone and will be aimed at Novice and Intermediate riders. Dates for the events have been confirmed as 14th May and 2nd September.Pupils will not only be taught by World class instructors, the machinery available for use will be high-end Supersport machines from Ducati, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha. 2014 Yamaha MT-09 Street Tracker Revealed
Wed, 11 Jun 2014Yamaha Motor Europe has announced another variant on the MT-09 platform (FZ-09 for us in North America). Following the original model and the Street Rally comes the new Yamaha MT-09 Street Tracker. Unfortunately it looks like the Street Tracker will be a special edition variant only available in Europe, though many of the parts may be available in Yamaha’s part catalog.
