Yamaha Raider description

2009 Yamaha Raider S, Candy Red w/Flames 8,250 Miles One Owner Great Condition The 2009 Yamaha Raider S not only looks good...it offers an incredible riding experience too. 2009 Yamaha Raider S (XV1900S) Features: Engine: High-performance, 1854cc (113 cubic inch) air-cooled, long-stroke, OHV, 4 valves per cylinder, 48, V-twin power plant produces massive torque and class leading acceleration from very low rpms. Maximum torque occurs at 2,500 rpm while maximum power occurs at 4,500 rpm, providing exciting acceleration with great pulse / torque feel. Traditional pushrod valve actuation keeps engine height down for a lower center of gravity and ensures more uniform heat dissipation due to absence of a cam chain case. A lower center of gravity helps to insure light, easy handling. Carburetion Twin-Bore electronic fuel injection throttle position sensor The Raider S achieves fuel economy is great. I average around 42 mpg with a fuel tank that holds 4.2 gallons of gas. Smooth-shifting, 5-speed transmission features optimized gear ratios for both strong low rpm acceleration and relaxed highway cruising. 5th gear is an overdrive gear for reduced engine rpms at highway speeds for maximum riding comfort. Low maintenance, clean, quiet belt drive eliminates messy chain splatter while maximizing power output. History has proven that belt drive systems are ultra reliable and rarely need alignment or tensioning. The belt is embedded with carbon fiber for incredible strength. Yamaha Reveals YZR-M1 50th Anniversary Grand Prix Livery

Tue, 17 May 2011

Yamaha marks its 50th year in World Championship Grand Prix racing this year, and what better way to celebrate the anniversary than with a special edition livery? The special edition WGP50th Anniversary Yamaha YZR-M1 livery reaches back into Yamaha’s past for its classic red-and-white colors inspired by its first factory team in 1961. Reigning MotoGP Champion and current points leader Jorge Lorenzo and 2010 MotoGP Rookie of the Year Ben Spies will ride the special edition WGP50th Anniversary livery on their Yamaha YZR-M1 racebikes at the June 25 Assen round and the July 24 U.S.

HELMET MANUFACTURER X-LITE will be unveiling one of their top-of-the-range lids in a variety of colour schemes favoured by Fiat Yamaha MotoGP star Jorge Lorenzo. The X-802 is now available in the MotoGP star's black paint scheme, with the recognisable red 'X' on the crown. The back of the helmet features an 'Evolution of Lorenzo', which charts the transition of the Mallorcan from boy to worldwide phenomenon, in a Charles Darwin cartoon stylee. If that doesn't float your boat there will be more options: Lorenzo's Captain America paint scheme, seen at the Indianapolis GP, will be available by the end of the year, along with the NASA-style astronaut helmet used during Lorenzo's stunning victory at Estoril. The helmet is priced at 484 euros (£442) on the European market.I feel a phone call coming on...

Bazzer at Oulton by Niall Mac

Tue, 28 Sep 2010

There is no question that the BSB paddock has been split over the radical new points scoring system introduced for 2010. That said, no one can argue that the formula hasn't worked as we are in for the most exciting season end at the Oulton Park triple header on the 9th/10th of October. There may only be six riders in the final shoot out but there are at least another six that can win races, ultimately spoiling the party for the championship hopefuls.
