The bike is originally a RD250, decided to build a monster RD, motor was replaced with a RD350. Please read description very carefully, I will do my best to answer any questions asap. The bike has been completely rebuilt from the ground up. The frame, triple clamps, brackets, engine cases, hubs, fork tubes, and body work were all stripped and professionally painted. This motorcycle was purchased from a previous owner who did a good amount of work, but there were some issues due to the fact that this bike has some European components, with some modern electronics. For anyone who is familiar with RDs, the electrical system is very weak on these motorcycles. The Newton electronics were replaced with the standard points. The rear brakes lights are from a Kawasaki, but there are no turn signals. Basically, this bike is scary fast and really wants to run on the high end. It was almost turned to be used as a weekend vintage racer versus a daily riding motorcycle. I replaced as much of the wiring as I could, updated connectors and disconnected the turn signals to stop the battery from draining. So in short, this is a fast bike with a really well tuned engine and it looks great. A lot was done and all that needs attention would be someone to spend time on the electrical and modify the kick stand. *********The following is a list of what has been done to the bike. Please read carefully.********* -The frame has been completely stripped and repainted -18" Sun Aluminum wheels front and rear, alittle wider than stock, Buchanans stainless steel spokes, Bridgestone BT45s -Forking By Frank fork tubes, new seal, Progressive springs, heavier fluid than stock -Front rotor has been drilled, new brake pads, stainless braided line to a Magura master cylinder -Clubman bars have been narrowed about 1" on both sides -Moto Carrera Aluminum swingarm, Works Performance shocks -New brake shoes in rear -Moto Carrera rear sets -Spec 2 expansion chambers -European RD250 fuel tank, wider and easier to fit than a US RD400 tank. Kawasaki H1 tail section welded to the stock seat pan, the whole thing flips up as the stock seat did -Shorai Lithium Ion Battery ******Please read the following very carefully, as this is the heart and sole of the bike, the motor (the 350)***** -New crank, with all new bearings and seals -TZ rods (slit on the big end for better oiling) -Crank was welded, trued, and balanced -Barnett clutch and springs -Nic's Pistons, + .060 over stock, RZ style (larger intake window) -Spec 2 port and polish, Stage 2 -Spec 2 expansion chambers -Boyseen stage 2 reeds -Banshee (RZ/TZ) reed boots, with boost bottle -K+N 2 to 1 air filter kit -1/4 tun throttle What needs addressed - Euro RD250 Tank needs another bracket to secure to the frame, Currently using straps and zip ties. - Wiring, Either go completely back to stock or do a custom wiring kit with a stand alone digital cluster. - Fix the wiring on the Kawasaki seat. - Kickstand needs attention, chambers are in the way of stock unit and is too short, major lean on the bike.

Yamaha Announces MT-10 And MT-10 SP For 2022
Mon, 22 Nov 2021This news should come as a surprise to nobody, but it’s still equally as exciting to finally get the official confirmation: Yamaha is bringing an updated MT-10 to the US. Maybe more exciting is the announcement that Yamaha is also bringing an MT-10 SP here as well. We reported earlier this month that a new MT-10 was coming, but at the time, the report was only confirmed for Europe.

Tue, 24 Apr 2012Trawling the internet for a sound clip of the Crossplane Crank Yamaha R1 on full chatter, I came across this: a few fast laps on board with New Zealand Superbike racer Tony Rees as he works the CABS Throttle Blipper on his 2011 R1. (Skip to 7:35 for the fast ones.) CABS is a system used by Superbike teams that makes use of the R1’s digitally controlled throttle. When you change up a gear, the bike blips in the perfect amount of revs to save time on track and make downshifts as quick and easy as clutch-less upshifts.
Shawn Higbee Wins On The Brough Superior Taylor Made Racing Moto2
Thu, 01 May 2014In only its second race appearance, the Brough Superior Taylor Made Racing Moto2 bike competed in the WERA F1 and B Superbike events on April 27th at the Autoclub Speedway in Fontana, California, run in conjunction with the first round of the GEICO Superbike Shootout, presented by Yamaha. During the F1 race, rider Shawn Higbee moved up to as high as 2nd place from a 5th row start on the Brough Superior TMRGP2 bike. The TMRGP2′s lightweight all carbon fiber chassis and 600cc Honda powerplant demonstrated impressive cornering speed on the tight infield sections but could not match the top speed of the heavily modified 1000cc F1 bikes on the long straights. On the last lap Higbee was shuffled back to 4th place at the finish line.
