Lightly pre-owned for a short number of months!Barely rode for just about 2yrs. **Not ridden since 2001.Was started up about 3-4 times a year and fluids checked each year for maintenance purposes.Well maintained in the years it was rode, tires are good. Only part of the stickers are worn and some scratches on the fenders etc.Has been NON-OP'd for past years.**Have clear title in hand. Yamaha Signed On As Presenting Sponsor For Three-Event GEICO Motorcycle Superbike Shootout

Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., is proud to announce that it has signed on as sponsor for the GEICO Motorcycle Superbike Shootout Presented By Yamaha, a three-event championship motorcycle road racing series that includes the Yamaha SoCal Nationals at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA on April 26-27; the Pacific Nationals at Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma, CA on May 3-4; and the Mountain Nationals at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, UT on May 24-25. The announcement was made by Bob Starr, General Manager of National Communications for Yamaha’s Motorsports Group. Yamaha Expands 2014 Road Racing Contingency Program In related news, Mike Guerra, Racing Division Department Manager for Yamaha, announced that Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., has extended its 2014 Road Racing Contingency Program to include the GEICO Superbike Shootout Presented By Yamaha.

Yamaha Quitting World Superbike Racing After 2011 Season

Yamaha announced it is withdrawing its factory World Superbike Championship race team following the end of the 2011 season. The news comes as a bit of a surprise, just a week after reports the team had re-signed racer Marco Melandri for the 2012 season. On the other hand, the team has struggled to find a title sponsor this season, as has Yamaha’s MotoGP team.
