Description: IF YOU CALL OR VISIT OUR STORE PLEASE ASK FOR DEREK OR EBAY!!!
Up for auction is a CRAZY DEREK Special starting at $1 with NO RESERVE. This is NOT available on our showfloor for purchase. This is SOLD AS IS and will sell to the high bidder.  Please call and ask for Derek with any questions before you bid and please plan on paying if you do. 1-877-730-9267

Please read the entire listing before you bid and read the terms below. NO EXCEPTIONS.

For those of you not familiar with the crazy Derek Specials, i've been doing this for years and a lot of people absolutely love it. All the crazy Derek Specials start at $1 and never have a reserve. I lose on some and win on some. These are always sold as is and I will describe them the best I can. Along with my own evaluation, I also have a mechanic go over the vehicles. Not every scratch and dent can be noted, so please bare with me. I post Motorcycles, ATV's, PWC's, Scooters and snowmobiles. As always, good luck bidding!

This Crazy Derek Special is a 1988 Yamaha Venture 1300.  This bike fires right up and runs great. It can be driven off the lot. However, it has a few minor issues that need to be noted. The front fender is cracked as shown in the pictures. It is still fully functional and mounted on the bike. The on board cruise control is not functioning. However, it does have a throttle mounted cruise control that is fully functional. You would probably want to replace the front tire in the near future. The rear tire still has a lot of life left in it. The only other issue with this bike is very minor scratches from normal road wear the worst of which are shown in the pictures. Overall this bike is in great condition for being 35 years old and it still drives like a dream! It also includes the Owner's Manual, a Yamaha Factory Service Manual, and the original tool kit. This bike is ready to hit the road and enjoy the rest of this riding season!

Good luck bidding!

Yamaha Announces AMA Road Racing Teams For 2013

Wed, 30 Jan 2013

Today, Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA, has announced its U.S. road racing teams to compete in the 2013 GEICO Motorcycle AMA Pro Racing season, which kicks off in March at the famed Daytona International Speedway.  Superbike In the AMA Pro National Guard Superbike division, Yamaha is fielding “Team Josh,” as three-time and defending class champion, Josh Hayes once again teams up with Josh Herrin, the 2012 AMA Rookie of the Year. Despite setting single-season records for the most SuperBike wins, the most consecutive SuperBike wins, and the most SuperBike poles, the elder Josh hasn’t lost any of his competitive fire. During the off-season, Josh signed a two-year contract to stay with Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha because he loves the team and he still feels that he’s got a lot of unfinished business to attend to.

Rumor: Yamaha Developing Inline Three Roadster

Wed, 25 Jan 2012

French motorcycle outlet Moto Revue reports Yamaha is developing a new three-cylinder middleweight. Citing an internal Yamaha document, Moto Revue reports the new naked model will feature an inline Triple engine, aluminum perimeter frame, upside-down fork and a triple-pipe exhaust like the MV Agusta F3 and Brutale 675. Yamaha has produced a Triple before, offering the XS750 from 1976-1979 before replacing it with the XS850 in 1980 and 1981 (pictured above is the 1981 Yamaha XS850.) The potential new model is still likely to be years away, so its look is yet to be determined, though Moto Revue does have a rendering that borrows some of the design elements from the FZ8.

Yamaha Reports 2013 Sales Results

Wed, 12 Feb 2014

Yamaha reported a 1.2% decrease in motorcycle sales in 2013 but managed to increase its net sales revenue by 16.2%, thanks in large part to the depreciation of the Japanese yen. According to the company’s 2013 fiscal report, Yamaha sold 6,014,000 motorcycles last year, down slightly from 6,090,000 sold in 2012. The good news however, is most of the sales decrease was limited to Thailand and Vietnam where the economy worsened in 2013, while Yamaha’s sales increased in nearly all other markets.
