Has a spike air cleaner I just installed, but I also have the old 1 too. Mustang saddle, customer plate holder and taillight. Needs a few things for inspection, but starts and runs strong, rode recently daily, until the snow started. You can ride it home as is, no problem if you want. Yamaha Reports Q2 2013 Sales Results

Yamaha bounced back from a poor first quarter with sales of 1.530 million motorcycles over the second quarter ended June 30, 2013. The results represent a 1.5% increase from the 1.507 million motorcycles sold in the same quarter last year. Still, Yamaha’s first half motorcycle sales total of 3.0 million units remains behind last year’s tally of 3.1 million units because of the weak first quarter sales.

US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011

Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.

Yamaha is opening a new research and development company for the Indian market. The newly-formed Yamaha Motor Research and Development India Pvt. Ltd., (YMRI) will be based in Surajpur, on the outskirts of New Delhi, near India Yamaha Motor‘s offices.
