About us: HEINEN's started in 1899 by John Heinen (yes 113+ years ago!) as a farm implement store. Slowly turning to motorsports in the late 60's as a fun way to excape farming. In the 90's, the twincities metro over took our little farm town and turned us into a large suburb just 10 miles northwest of Minneapolis. Proudly owned and operated by the great grandson of John Heinen!

THE ULTIMATE 600 BOTH ON AND OFF THE TRACK
The R6 is designed to do one thing extremely well: get around a race track in minimal time. Oh yeah: It's an incredible street bike too. The 2012 World GP 50th Anniversary Edition celebrates Yamaha's racing heritage with Pearl White / Rapid Red livery. It includes a 50th Anniversary emblem on top of the fuel tank and a special numbered plate showing the production number of only 1,500 units that will be produced worldwide.
Yamaha has filed for a trademark with the European Union for the names “YZF-R3” and “R3“. The trademark applications were filed Jan. 6 and are still under review, but once approved, we should expect Yamaha to introduce a new YZF-R3 soon after.
Yamaha announced it is withdrawing its factory World Superbike Championship race team following the end of the 2011 season. The news comes as a bit of a surprise, just a week after reports the team had re-signed racer Marco Melandri for the 2012 season. On the other hand, the team has struggled to find a title sponsor this season, as has Yamaha’s MotoGP team.
The generosity of the motorcycling community shone brightly on Monday, as riders, fans, friends and enthusiasts took part in a charity track day at Sonoma Raceway hosted by 3J’s Motorcycle Track Days, raising $75,000. The charity track day was to benefit David Stanton, a Bay Area resident and long-time American Federation of Motorcyclists (AFM) competitor, who was paralyzed after a racing crash in June. In all, more than 400 people participated in the track day, attended the evening reception or stopped by to give Stanton their best wishes.
