There is no question that the BSB paddock has been split over the radical new points scoring system introduced for 2010. That said, no one can argue that the formula hasn't worked as we are in for the most exciting season end at the Oulton Park triple header on the 9th/10th of October. There may only be six riders in the final shoot out but there are at least another six that can win races, ultimately spoiling the party for the championship hopefuls.

Yamaha reported a 5.4% decrease in net sales for 2012 and a 72.2% decrease in profit but the Japanese manufacturer says it is poised for a dramatic recovery as it begins its “New Medium-Term Management Plan” for 2013-2015. If you live in the southern California area and are attending the Progressive International Motorcycle Show at the Long Beach Convention Center this weekend, Dec. 9-11, do everything you can to make it Friday before 5:30 as three of Yamaha’s best and brightest stars will be on hand to meet and greet fans, as well as pose for pictures. Yamaha MotoGP rider and former Yamaha World Superbike Champion Ben Spies, Monster Tech 3 Yamaha MotoGP rider and former Yamaha World Supersport Champion Cal Crutchlow, and Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha rider and two-time defending AMA Pro Racing American SuperBike Champion Josh Hayes will all be signing autographs and greeting fans at the Yamaha display.
