Selling my unique 2005 Yamaha TW200 that is in perfect riding condition. This is one of best looking color schemes they made over the years. It’s unique because it has both the front Disc brake and Kick starter (as well as electric start). Don’t let the miles mislead you, a past owner put 95% of them on from saving gas money by commuting back and forth to work. It has been used and is far from mint, but if you want a nice bike with a great accessory package to ride EVERYWHERE…This is for you! Gets over 70 miles to the gallon, and at the 11,768 mile mark it had the extensive 10,000 mile Yamaha Dealer full service performed by State 8 Motorcycles. Colin Edwards Joins Forward Racing CRT Squad for 2012
Fri, 02 Sep 2011Colin Edwards will join the Forward Racing team to compete in the 2012 MotoGP season as a Claiming Rule Team entry. Edwards, known as a good development rider and an even better quote machine, is the first rider to officially sign on with a CRT. Forward Racing may be more familiar to some race fans by its former name, Hayate Racing, the outfit that ran the Kawasaki ZX-RR with Marco Melandri in 2009 after Kawasaki pulled out of MotoGP racing.
Yamaha Focusing on Developing Model Platforms
Mon, 22 Sep 2014Following the success of its MT platform, Yamaha says it will continue to develop new models based on shared platforms, allowing for a choice of multiple models while reducing overall costs. Speaking in a presentation on the company’s business operation, Yamaha Motor President Hiroyuki Yanagi reiterated the strategy of developing multiple models sharing the same engine and frame. Honda has followed a similar strategy with its NC models, seeing the platform evolve to include the CTX700 and NM4.
AMA Superbike: 2012 Daytona Results
Tue, 20 Mar 2012Josh Hayes and Blake Young picked things up where they left off by trading wins at the 2012 season-opening AMA Superbike round at Daytona International Speedway. Reigning champion Hayes of Monster Energy Graves Yamaha took the first race handily, leading almost right from the start of the 15-lap race for the win. Yoshimura Suzuki’s Young, who finished second to Hayes in the 2011 AMA Superbike Championship, responded by taking the second race, but only by a slim 0.002-second margin.
