I have a 2003 Yamaha R6 SE with 18k miles. Bike has brand new tires front and back, new spark plugs and all fluids topped up. Bike was dropped by previous owner so fairings do have blemishes but are not visible until you get up close. $3000 FIRM, no trades, I am not interested in another bigger bike or whatever, cash only, if you want to test ride it you must show me a valid motorcycle with endorsement and insurance, otherwise you can watch me. Yamaha Focusing on Developing Model Platforms

Following the success of its MT platform, Yamaha says it will continue to develop new models based on shared platforms, allowing for a choice of multiple models while reducing overall costs. Speaking in a presentation on the company’s business operation, Yamaha Motor President Hiroyuki Yanagi reiterated the strategy of developing multiple models sharing the same engine and frame. Honda has followed a similar strategy with its NC models, seeing the platform evolve to include the CTX700 and NM4.

The racing season may be over but the winter nights will surely fly by as we watch reviews, debate events of 2012 racing and relish the excitement that lays ahead in 2013. Unfortunately retirement seems to be popular right now so with major names leaving BSB, WSB and Moto GP things will never quite be the same. I’m still in shock that Casey Stoner has decided to head back home for a spot of fishing.
