1978 Yamaha Model XS750SE, black paint. Actual engine size is 850CC.Mileage under 20K but needs full restoration.Engine has all 3 engine cylinders upgraded with a 100CC over Wesco piston kit installed and is now 850CC.Shaft Drive, dual front disc brakes and single rear disc. All disc's are rusted to calipers, but can be repaired.Bike has not run for twenty years but the engine does turn over by the kick start.Sale also includes a red 1977 Yamaha XS750 (not the SE model) complete parts bike. There is no title for the red bike. I bought without the title. Both bikes need to be trailered out. I have lost the keys for both bikes, but is easy to have them re-keyed.Sale price for both bikes is $1,250 cash

James Stewart has signed a multi-year contract with JGRMX, the motocross division of Joe Gibbs Racing. Stewart raced the last three years with the L & M Yamaha factory team, and he will continue with the Tuning Fork brand with JGRMX, riding a Yamaha YZ450F. The two-time AMA Supercross and one-time AMA Motocross Champion will debut with JGRMX at the Jan.

Yamaha Focusing on Developing Model Platforms

Following the success of its MT platform, Yamaha says it will continue to develop new models based on shared platforms, allowing for a choice of multiple models while reducing overall costs. Speaking in a presentation on the company’s business operation, Yamaha Motor President Hiroyuki Yanagi reiterated the strategy of developing multiple models sharing the same engine and frame. Honda has followed a similar strategy with its NC models, seeing the platform evolve to include the CTX700 and NM4.
