1996 Yamaha Vmax 1200, For sale is my '96 V-Max (Yamaha VMX1200). This snarling beast is jetted, has a Kirker 4-into-1 pipe, many other upgrades. Recently serviced, and has a brand new Yuasa battery. The bike runs and sounds great. It's not in a showroom or museum condition, but it's dependable and very, very fast. Bike has 32,219 miles on it. Clean title. It's located in Coral Springs, garaged. Kenny Roberts R1 Auction Nets $87,000 for Charity

The one-off GYTR-equipped Yamaha YZF-R1 ridden by “King” Kenny Roberts at this year’s U.S. Grand Prix at Laguna Seca was auctioned for $87,000. Roberts and late night television star Jay Leno were the special guest auctioneers for the R1 at Mecum’s Motorcycle Auction in Monterey, Calif.

Last week, we wrote about retired Formula One racer Michael Schumacher taking part in a track day at France’s Paul Ricard circuit on a Ducati 1199 Panigale. The event’s sponsor, Monster Energy, has released a video offering a behind-the-scenes look at the event. The seven-time F1 champion was joined by TT racer John McGuinness, retired MotoGP racer Randy Momola, Moto2 racer Pol Espargaro and Keith Flint, a musician from the group Prodigy and a racer in the U.K.’s  Hottrax Endurance Championship.
