Yamaha Other description
1991 Yamaha FJ 1200. 38,xxx miles with the last 10,000 being mostly highway miles. This bike is heavy, but still very fast. This motorcycle has given me no problems in the approx two years that I have had it. To my knowledge, the only thing it needs mechanically is the carbs cleaned and synced. It sometimes sits for months at a time and as soon as it pumps fuel into the carbs, it fires right up. It has never slipped gears or shown any other sign of mechanical issues. Other than the tires I put on approx 6,000 mis ago, I believe everything on the bike is original including the paint. I would think that it has had a new battery at some point, but I am unsure. It has two stickers in the bike that I put on, nothing else. It is 22 yrs old, so it does have some rattles in the mirrors, not bad. My foot slipped once and the bike did land on my leg, so it did get a few minor scrapes from that, but it has never been wrecked to my knowledge. This model has the middle and side kickstands, a 4.5 gallon tank, fuel gauge that is very accurate, and hydraulic clutch. Please understand that I do not need the money. I am only selling it to make my wife happy. I will not negotiate the price. It is set firm. Do not waste my time with scams. I am in law enforcement and scammers will get no where.
