Yamaha Other description

1987 Yamaha Fazer 700 , Rare ('86/'87 only) FZX700 Fazer, fastest street bike in '86 per Cycle World review, little brother to Yammy V-Max with Harleyesque styling, Yamaha Genesis watercooled engine. Unfaded, perfect red trip components over super rare '87 black tank trim. Original California bike, bought from a collector in '94, transported east and ridden less than 1,500 miles since, regularly serviced, always garaged. Original seat, tires, exhaust, brakes, chain, mirrors (provided). Recent carbs cleaning, all flluids replaced, battery, air cleaner, fuel pump. Aftermarket Rifle Nightfllight mini-fairing (removes without a trace) included. Bulletproof mechanicals per Yahoo, FB group fansites. Registered, titled, fully roadworthy. An unusually handsome, lightweight, midsize bike, discontinued in US in 1987 economic downturn because of its premium pricing vs. the Radian (although Yamaha sold the Fazer for another decade in Japan and Europe). Wiill ship within US after payment (extra). $3,900.00 6174352664

Get the Flash Player to see this player. After much speculation and anticipation regarding the 2009 YZF-R1, MO finally got some seat time in the recently updated numero uno. After hearing much about this new “Cross-plane crankshaft” technology, we were ready to write it off as media hype and PR propaganda, but it turns out that the Yamaha R1 has actually tightened the gap between MotoGP technology and street applications.

Racing legend Giacomo Agostini celebrated his 70th birthday at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone this weekend, where he was celebrated by Yamaha. “Ago”, who holds the all-time record for Grand Prix wins (122) and Grand Prix World Championships (15), was feted in a ceremony that also included current Yamaha riders Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies as well as retired racers Loris Capirossi, Phil Read, John Cooper, Angel Nieto, Franco Uncini and Jim Redman, as well as MotoGP promoter Carmelo Ezpeleta and Yamaha Classic Racing Team principal Ferry Brouwer. Yamaha presented Agostini with a one-off T-Max scooter with livery inspired by his 1975 championship-winning YZR500 OW23.

2022 Yamaha XSR900 Review - First Ride

Wed, 25 May 2022

The sportiest Sport Heritage Credit: Photos by Adam Campbell | Videos by Sean Matic Some of us were a bit surprised when Yamaha’s newly overhauled 2021 MT-09 snagged first place in last summer’s 900cc(ish) Naked Bike Comparison, against such more-expensive heavy hitters as the new Ducati Monster and KTM Duke 890. And all of us were a little surprised when the XSR900 defeated Indian FTRs 1200 and 1200S, and the now-defunct Monster 1200S, in an only slightly unfair 2019 comparo. (Slightly unfair because our test route was really nothing but tight, twisty roads.) Now, the 2022 XSR900 is newly overhauled just as last year’s MT-09 was, using all the same parts from the waist down, including the new super-sized 890 cc version of that most excellent CP3 three-cylinder and all its electronic controls.
