Yamaha Other description

Engine is loose and turn over with kick start.  I am pretty sure it is 1986 if memory is right...
Bike has electric start too!
Needs restoration if you want it pretty but I do not think it would take much to get it going.  It was missing the carb so I have a replacement on the way.
The only other obvious missing parts are control brakets and handles (the electronics are there).
Side covers mia and key not present but ignition in run position.  Simple 4 wire key set available on EBAY for under 5 bucks.
You can also get complete set of plastics if you choose the rebuild route and have a really cool vintage rider.  GETS LOOKS all the time..people love these things!

I travel to Cincinnati Ohio quite often so if it saves you miles I am willing to take it to my location there if the payment has already been made in full and you pick up on my schedule during the week.  I do not charge for this just trying to help make buying and pick up easy!!!!

I require deposit at end of auction so I know you are a sincere buyer.

No title- bill of sale only.  EBAY does not have an option for this so I selected salvage but again NO TITLE.

Yamaha is recalling 2014 YZ450F and YZ250F off-ride motorcycles because of a risk of the drive chain detaching. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the recall affects 1,300 units in the U.S. while Transport Canada says another 115 units are affected north of the border.

AMA Superbike Racer Larry Pegram To Race On Four Wheels This Weekend

Thu, 08 Aug 2013

Foremost Insurance/Pegram Racing SuperBike rider Larry Pegram will be back in racing action this weekend but, instead of being aboard his familiar #72 Yamaha YZF-R1 SuperBike, Larry will be behind the wheel of a PRO Buggy sponsored by RealTree Outdoor Energy Drink. The PRO Buggy class features rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive, purpose-built racing buggies with lots of suspension travel and lots of horsepower. Pegram is no stranger to car racing, having done a few road racing events last year, but he’s excited about the opportunity to kick up some mud this weekend at RedBud MX in Buchanan, MI, as part of The Off-Road Championship (TORC) series.

Yamaha Files Trademark Application for FJ-09

Mon, 03 Mar 2014

Yamaha‘s next three-cylinder motorcycle may be a sport-tourer, if a recently-filed trademark application is any indication. The Tuning Fork brand filed a trademark application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for the name “FJ-09” as it applies to “Motorcycles, scooters, three-wheeled scooters and structural parts for all the aforesaid goods.” Following Yamaha’s usual naming conventions, the signs indicate the trademark will be for a new sport-touring model using the same Triple as the FZ-09. Yamaha has made it clear it plans to introduce more three-cylinder engines following the FZ-09 (or MT-09, as it is known in Europe.) Previously-filed trademark applications for the YZF-R3 and R3 names raised speculation the next triple would be a sportbike, but as per Yamaha’s usual naming convention, the “3″ in R3 is likelier to refer to the engine displacement rather than the number of cylinders.
