1982 Yamaha Other on 2040-motos
Yamaha Other tech info
Yamaha Other description
Up for bid is my 1982 Yamaha IT 465. This bike has had an every nut and bolt restoration done by a very meticulous machinist. I used NOS parts where possible. The only parts that were not replaced were side covers (blue plastics, each has small crack, see photos), fuel tank (desert tank for extra long trails), front headlight shroud, and air box. Engine is fresh with 11 miles on it, rebuilt with all Yamaha parts. NOS DG expansion pipe with hard-to-find stock muffler / silencer. I installed a YZ 465 intake boot to eliminate the boost bottle induction. I always worry those plastic tanks could leak. I do have everything to reinstall if you like. Head light and tail light function as should. This bike needs nothing. Bike was done with every intention of staying in my collection. I have title in hand, but is in previous owner's name. I will provide bill of sale also. Please remember $500.00 down at end of auction. Remainder of payment by certified funds or cash due within 7 days. I have used Wolverine Transport to ship and pick up a lot of bikes for me. They are fair priced and trustworthy. I can assist with loading bike. I can store bike for up to 60 days as long as it is paid in full. |

How do 1000s compare to the 800s
Wed, 09 Nov 2011Now MotoGP has completed its transformation from 800 to 1000cc, how do the lap times between the different bikes compare using Valencia and the post-season test as a benchmark.. Yesterday, Dani Pedrosa was the quickest 1000 on his Honda RC213V setting a time of 1:32.186. To find the quickest time from the outgoing 800 era you have to look at his current Repsol Honda team-mate, Casey Stoner, but it wasn't set on a Honda.
Yamaha Tenere 700 Raid Prototype First Look
Tue, 23 Nov 2021Return to sender Well the seat was a little high, at 34.6 inches, but that didn’t stop the Yamaha Ténéré 700 from doing very well in last summer’s blockbuster middleweight ADV comparison. Keeping it simple and keeping the weight down was a great recipe for success, and now Yamaha is fixin’ to take it to the next level with a Ténéré 700 Raid, for which this machine it showed at EICMA serves as prototype.
