I have a 1981 Yamaha xs850 street bike, everything is here except the seat and tank. even the key is with it. I have a tank I was gonna fab up to make work and look decent. drive shaft bike, it is not broken or seized up. motor is free in the bike. I do not have a battery but I jumped it off and it spun over fine, this is a three cyl bike. open headers. I took the turn signals off, but still have them. headlamp works but has a bad fuse, just needs some work on the wiring, its all connected right but someone did a half butt job. brakes need to be bled. just don't have time to keep working on it. call or text at 980-522-XXXX. $325 O.B.O. Canadian Speeder’s Yamaha R1 Seen in Now-Famous YouTube Video Sold in Auction

The Vancouver Sun is reporting on its website today that the Yamaha R1 made famous in a YouTube video featuring the rider speeding along the Trans-Canada Highway was sold recently for $4,651 in an online auction. According to the Sun the auction was conducted by B.C.’s Civil Forfeiture Office, which can seize property believed to have been used for unlawful activity. The winning bidder, 4x4albert, beat more than 70 bids to claim the 2006 R1.

Scott Russell Returning To Yamaha Champions Riding School Next Week

This just in from the Yamaha Champions Riding School: the Champ is back! As many of you know, Scott fell off a dirtbike and tumbled around long enough to hurt himself back in July. But he just called and drawled, “I’ll be back for the school as soon as I’m able to ride…let’s fill it up and have some fun!”  With the final round of the AMA SuperBike series coming to New Jersey Motorsports Park this weekend, it’s a perfect time for Mr.

Motorcycle Thefts Down 11.2% in 2010

Motorcycle thefts in the U.S. are down for the fourth consecutive year in 2010,  according to a report from the National Insurance Crime Bureau. There were 49,791 reported motorcycle thefts in 2010, an 11.2% drop from the 56,093 thefts reported in 2009.
