Yamaha Other description

For sale, very good running, low miles, 650 Yamaha. I have only had this bike about one month; I bought it with some other bikes.  Everything seems to be there, but look at the pictures.  Everything works:  brakes, clutch, lights, turn signals, electric start.

One thing that I am not sure of is the year.  The title says 1973, but a couple people who know Yamahas much better than I do said it was a 1978.  I looked up the engine number on the computer and it also says it is a 1978.  So, maybe the "8" was mistaken at the BMV for a "3". I am not sure, BUT the year on the title is 1973 and this is the way it will be sold.

I also have a wind screen that goes with it, but I forgot to get a picture up.  If you have any questions, I will try to answer them as honestly as I can.

Paypal deposit of $250 within 48 hours.  The remainder in cash or personal check.  Bike can be picked up after check clears.

Yamaha Focusing on Developing Model Platforms

Mon, 22 Sep 2014

Following the success of its MT platform, Yamaha says it will continue to develop new models based on shared platforms, allowing for a choice of multiple models while reducing overall costs. Speaking in a presentation on the company’s business operation, Yamaha Motor President Hiroyuki Yanagi reiterated the strategy of developing multiple models sharing the same engine and frame. Honda has followed a similar strategy with its NC models, seeing the platform evolve to include the CTX700 and NM4.

Yamaha U.S. Increasing Club Level Road Racing Contingency

Fri, 21 Feb 2014

The state of road racing in America is hurting, there’s no doubt about that. But at least Yamaha is stepping up to the plate and increasing its contingency program for club level road racers 50% over last year. According to Yamaha, the program is designed to encompass a broad spectrum of road racing series across the U.S., from numerous club-level and regional sprint series events to the AMA Pro Road Racing series, including the addition of the ASRA Team Challenge Endurance Series.

2013 AMA Superbike Daytona Race Report

Mon, 18 Mar 2013

The story leading up to the opening round of the 2013 AMA Pro National Guard Superbike season was whether anyone would be able to keep up with defending champion Josh Hayes. After all, the Monster Energy Graves Yamaha rider dominated the competition last season winning 16 of 20 races including a string of 10 in a row. The season-opening round at Daytona International Speedway appeared to start on script with Hayes qualifying in pole position.
